This electronic edition of the complete works of Menéndez Pelayo (Menendez Pelayo Digital) is the result of an ambitious collaboration project carried out among various Spanish institutions.

The project has been possible thanks to the support provided by the Social and Cultural Projects of Caja Cantabria, which enthusiastically welcomed an initiative that initially came about from the common action that  has been carried out by the Menéndez Pelayo Library for a number of years (Hon. Town Council of Santander) and the Tavera Historic Foundation.

The property rights of Marcelino Menéndez Pelayo’s work have been handed over by the Menendez Pelayo Society. In turn, the use as canonical texts of this edition of the "National Edition” of the Complete Works and Collection of Letters has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the publisher institutions: the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and Spanish University Foundation (WAS), respectively. Finally, we cannot fail to mention the important support provided by the Hernando Larramendi Foundation.
