Dear Sir: I did not expect to trouble you so soon with another letter but it seems to me as well to inform you that I have obtained an introduction to the Hon. J. L. Curry, Minister of the United States at Madrid, to whom I write, asking his good offices in any way that may aid in obtaining the material I want. I have mentioned to him my application for your help, and I would be glad if you would put yourself in communicition with him.

If any official permission is requisite to obtain access to the archives, I have no doubt that Mr. Curry would kindly exert himself to obtain it.

Estimado Sr.: No esperaba molestarle tan pronto con otra carta, pero creo que debo informar a Vd. de que he logrado una carta de presentación para el Hon. J. L. Curry, Ministro de los Estados Unidos en Madrid, a quien escribo rogándole sus buenos oficios en cualquier cosa que pueda ayudar para obtener el material que deseo. Le he indicado que he recurrido a la ayuda de Vd. y me encantaría si Vd. mismo se pusiera en comunicación con él.

Si se necesita cualquier permiso oficial para poder acceder a los archivos, no dudo que el mismo Sr. Curry se prestaría amablemente a conseguirlo.
